Edna R. Kelley

Edna R. Kelley, 84, of Derry, New Hampshire, formerly of N. Windham, widow of Louis J. Kelley, died Wednesday Aug. 24, 2011 in Derry. She was born Sept. 14, 1926 in Thompson, CT. the daughter of John H. and Mae (Lignor) Day. Edna was a member of First Congregational Church in Willimantic and prior to her retirement had been employed at UConn for many years. She was predeceased by her sister Joan Phillips and a son Michael Kelley. She is survived by son Keith J. Kelley and his wife Diane of Derry, daughter Kathy Smelser and her husband Edward of Kissimmee, FL, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her family will receive relatives and friends on TUESDAY Aug. 30 between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Her funeral service will be held at First Congregational Church of Willimantic, 199 Valley St. Willimantic on THURSDAY at 10:00am. Interment will be private in Storrs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
