Edmund A. Hauschild Jr

Edmund A. Hauschild Jr., 62, of Columbia, CT, passed away on October 13, 2013 at home with his family at his side after a long battle with cancer. Edmund was born in Fort Lee, VA on June 1, 1951. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1973 and worked for the State of Connecticut for 37 years, retiring in 2009. Edmund was an avid trout fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting, playing basketball, as well as going to Vermont and the beach with his family. Edmund was married to Donna; they were married for 39 years. Edmund is survived by Donna, his sons Timothy, Mathew and Brian, and their spouses; his four granddaughters Isyss, Eden, Alexa and Selena; his identical twin brother Eric Sr. and his wife Robin and their sons Eric Jr. and Jeff; his sister Cynthia and her husband Peter and their children Ryan, Jennifer, Adrian and Anson and his parents Edmund Sr. and Helen. His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Oct. 16th between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday Oct. 17th at 11:00am at St. Columba Church, intersection of Rte. 66 & Rte. 87, Columbia, with assembly at the church. Cremation will follow.
