Edmond Herman Leach

Edmond Herman Leach, better known as Pops to his family and friends, 86, passed away peacefully at Windham Hospital, Friday, March 24, 2006, surrounded by his family and close friends. He was born in Fall River, MA on November 27, 1919, the 3rd son of George Alfred and Elizabeth (Dube) Leach. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Sandra Leach Corey and two daughters-in-law, Betty C. Leach and Laurie M. Leach. He is survived by his son, William Leach and his wife Kim of Hope Mills, NC, son Richard Leach of Baltimore, MD, son Steven Leach of Montville, CT, daughter Linda Scavetta and her husband Richard of Lebanon, CT, son Robert Leach and daughter Terry Scott and her husband Cliff, all of Amston, CT andGeorgia Rhoades of Norwich, CT who was like a daughter to him, 2 brothers, Norman Leach and William Leach. In addition he is survived by 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the New Hebron Cemetery, Wall St. Hebron.
