Earl Clinton Eldredge, 89, a life long Willington resident, husband of the late Drusilla Francis (Arnold) Eldredge, died Thursday July 31, 2003 at the Mansfield Center for Nursing. He was the son of the late Clinton and Daisy (Buck) Eldredge of Willington. Earl had been employed as a Quality Craft Worker-Carpenter for the Mansfield State Training School for over 28 years, retiring in 1985. He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Earl A. and Gail Eldredge of Willington, a daughter and son in law Kay and Bernard Wright of San Diego, CA., a son and daughter in law Clinton G. and Elna Eldredge of Willington and a daughter and friend Karen and Robert Smith of Scotland, a brother Clifford Eldredge of Mansfield Center, a sister and brother in law Dorothy and Anthony Bottari of Willimantic, a sister and brother in law Florence and Arnold Burnham of Mansfield Center and a sister and brother in law Ethel and Winthrop Hawkins of Mansfield Center. Earl was the proud and devoted grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He also has many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother David Eldredge of Manchester, a sister and brother in law Caroline and Bernard Bentley of Manchester, a sister in law Coreen (Rita) Eldredge of Mansfield Center and a grandson James Eldredge of Willington. The Eldredge family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00am with the Rev. Ronald Lake officiating. Burial will follow in the Willington Hill Cemetery.
