. E. Helen (Zmutski) Jaswinski , 87, of Columbia, widow of Joseph S. Jaswinski, died peacefully Saturday, (March 3, 2007) at her home. She was born in New York and lived in Columbia all her life. She was employed by the Electro Motive Mfg Company in Willimantic, CT. Helen was an active member of the Beckish Senior Center, a communicant of Saint Columba Church, and a life member of the Columbia Fire Department ladies auxiliary. She is survived by her loving children, daughter Carol Ann Jaswinski of Columbia, CT, son Joseph Jaswinski and his wife Grace of Paris, France, four grandsons, two great-granddaughters and extended family. Calling hours will be on Tuesday March 6, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, (Rte. 195), Willimantic, CT. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 7, 10:00am at Saint Columba Church , intersection of Rte. 66 & Rte.87, Columbia, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
