Dwayne A. Dyer

Dwayne A. Dyer, 45, of Norwich, husband of Eleanor (Hollis) Dyer, passed away on Friday Nov. 21, 2008 at home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born June 12, 1963 in Willimantic the son of the late Donald and Marriette (Heon) Dyer. Dwayne was a 1981 graduate of NFA and a United States Navy veteran. He had been employed as a long haul truck driver by GSTC of Walford, Iowa and had driven over one million miles without incident. He also served as part of the Highway Watch Program. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jessica Hollis and Elizabeth Dyer both of Norwich, two sons, Jason Hollis and Robert Dyer both of Norwich, a brother Darryl Dyer of Norwich, a sister Debbie Densmore of Griswold and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30am with interment following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
