Douglas Tucker, 48, of Willimantic passed away early Tuesday morning, September 25, 2001. He was born in Holyoke, MA on November 1, 1952 and resided in Willimantic for most of his adult life. Douglas is survived by his wife, Betty Tucker and his son Michael Tucker, both of Willimantic along with his daughter Jennifer Tucker who currently resides in Boston. Douglas is also survived by his father John Tucker of Senatobia, MS, his brother John Tucker Jr. of East Haven and his brother Steven Tucker of Mansfield along with several extended family members. He was predeceased by his mother Vivian L. Tucker and his brother Mark F. Tucker. After graduating from high school in 1970 Douglas worked for nearly 20 years at United Nuclear Corporation in Montville. He was also a coach for the Willimantic Softball Association and was a licensed Emergency Medical Technician for many years. Douglas was a devoted husband and father. He is dearly loved and will be missed. Doug s life was taken early, but his suffering is now over. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with assembly at the church. Burial will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
