Douglas C. Lagrow of Storrs, Connecticut, beloved husband of Pamela Berthelette, passed away at home on September 10, 2026.

Doug was born in Spokane, Washington to the late Carlton Lagrow and Leah Kershner. Doug graduated from Jonathan Law High School in 1969, later earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Southern CT State University. He was president and sole proprietor of Reliant Security for over 40 years. An avid fan of all genres of music, Doug attended many concerts with his son, Christopher, including this year’s Newport Jazz Festival.

Doug was a kind, compassionate, unassuming man who preferred simple pleasures and communing with nature. He enjoyed kayaking on the Sound, downhill skiing at Okemo, and exploring the many hiking trails, often accompanied by his two Malamutes.

Doug was predeceased by his parents, and his sister Sharon St. Onge.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Berthelette, his daughter, Jeannine Lagrow, and his son Christopher Lagrow. He was blessed with a two year old and a 4-month-old granddaughter.

Doug spent his final days at home surrounded by his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
