Dorothy Sayers

Dorothy (Cyr) Sayers passed away peacefully at home on July 13,2014 with her son Jim by her side. She was born in Willimantic in 1927 to Hormisdas and Alice (Tennant) Cyr. She was a lifelong resident of Willimantic and a member of St. Joseph Church. Some will remember her as a hairdresser in several local salons; others through her years as a patient care-giver at Natchaug Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband James A. Sayers, former Detective-Sergeant of the Willimantic Police Department. A Memorial Mass will be held on September 10th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic.
