Dorothy C. Parks

Dorothy C. Parks, 104, of Storrs, formerly of Hampton widow of Edmund B. Parks, died Friday October 28, 2005 in Storrs. She was born April 5, 1901 in Bridgeport, the daughter of Murray and Lucy (Kent) Chapin and was a descendant of Samuel Chapin, one of the founders of Springfield, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Vassar College and received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia University. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Winifred and Dr. Robert Friedman and a grandson, Dr. Kent Friedman of New York City. Funeral services and burial will be private in Springfield Cemetery, Springfield, MA. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are through the Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic.
