Dorothy (Rosa) Halbardier, 74, of Willimantic, CT., formerly of Taunton, MA., died Friday Jan. 3, 2003 at the Windham Hospital after a long illness. She was born Sept. 13, 1928 in Taunton the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Marshall) Rosa and resided there until moving to Willimantic in 1957. She was retired from the University of CT. after nearly 35 years of employment. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Herve Halbardier, 2 sons and daughters in law; James and Sharon Arsenault of Farmington and Joseph and Teresa Halbardier of Lebanon, a daughter and son in law Catherine and Michael Insalaco of Bells, TN., 6 grandchildren; Tiki Arsenault, Jeremy, Brittany and Jordan Halbardier and Ian and Corey Insalaco, 4 sisters; Louise Kubicek , Evelyn Grabarz, Betty Rosa and Jeannette Wilson all of Taunton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son William Arsenault. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:15am prior to the procession to her 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic.
