Dorothy M. (Dugas) Godaire, 73, of Chaplin, died Thursday June 22, 2006 at Windham Hospital. She was born Aug. 17, 1932 in Versailles, CT., the daughter of the late George and Aldea (LaPage) Dugas. Dorothy had been employed at UConn for 33 years prior to retiring from the Public Safety Division. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the N.Y. Yankees. She enjoyed taunting Boston Red Sox fans. The core of her existence was a devotion to her family. She is survived by 2 sons, Rickey J. and his wife Meg of Rangeley, ME. and Randy J. and his wife Janice of Chaplin; a brother Norman E. Dugas of Hawthorne, CA., a sister Shirley M. Welch of Norwich, 4 grandchildren, Julia, Alirose, Stephen and Timothy; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her companion Paul Marcellino, 3 brothers, Roland, Frederick and William Dugas and a sister Jeannette Blanchette. Her family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Monday between 6:00 and 8:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic, with assembly at the church. Interment will follow in South Chaplin Cemetery.
