Dorothy Meek Obituary
Dorothy Meek, 90, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2021, at Vernon Manor, Vernon, CT. She was born May 7, 1931, in Manchester, CT, daughter of the late Olin and Minnie Gerich.
On June 18, 1949, she married Robert Meek, who died on February 4, 2015.
Dottie is survived by her children, Robert Thomas Meek, and his wife Yvonne, of Oxford, Maine, David Meek of Sun City, Florida, Joanne Sweeney, and her husband Michael, of Manchester, CT, and Douglas Meek, and his wife Patricia, of Canterbury, CT; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Katherine; two grandsons; daughter-in-law, Nancy Meek; and her brother, Olin “Bunky”.
Dorothy’s burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dottie’s memory to the Special Olympics or the American Cancer Society.
