Doris M. Legere

Doris M. (Bernard) Legere, 70, of 441 Ash St. Willimantic, beloved wife of Robert Legere, passed away peacefully on Friday May 23, 2003 at home surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer. She was born March 10, 1933 in Winsted, the daughter of Arthur and Alice Bernard. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Willimantic. In addition to her husband of 50 years, Doris is survived by her two daughters, Carol Ives of Chaplin and Linda Legere of Willimantic, two sons and daughters in law; Richard and Donna Legere of Franklin and Roland and Kathy Legere of N. Windham, a brother and sister in law Robert and Pauline Bernard of Severn, MD., five granddaughters and a grandson. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church, Valley St. Willimantic with assembly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Eastern CT., 34 Ledgebrook Dr., Mansfield Center, Ct. 06250.
