Doris M. Coutu

Doris M. (Whitmore) Coutu, 81 of Mansfield, wife of Robert O. Coutu, died Monday Feb. 6, 2006 at home. She was born Nov. 17, 1924 in Manchester, N.H. the daughter of Joseph and Alma (Bissonette) Whitmore. Doris was a loving wife, mother and memere. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son George Coutu and his wife Erin of Ellington, 3 daughters, Janet Gilligan and her husband George of Columbia, Alice Marchon and her husband Jerry of Willimantic and Nancy Purnell of Ashford; 9 grandchildren, Sean, Jason, Matthew, Julie, Leigh, Kevin, Jessica, Rebekah and Andrew; 3 brothers, Real Whitmore of Windham, George Whitmore of Stratford and Roger Whitmore of Mansfield; a sister Jeannette Gamache of Plainfield and several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated privately Friday, February 10, 2006 at St. Mary s Church, Coventry. Interment followed in St. Mary s Cemetery, Coventry. There were no calling hours.
