Donna May Linkkila

Donna May Linkkila, 75, of Chaplin, wife of Anthony Linkkila, died Monday, February 3, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. She was born January 2, 1939 in Worcester, MA, the daughter of Edward and Beatrice (Wooldridge) Godfrey and had lived in Chaplin for nearly 30 years. Prior to her retirement she was employed for many years by the Connecticut State Department of Developmental Services and was a past president of CSEA Chapter 408. In addition to her husband of 28 years she is survived by a sister and her husband, Diane and Ronald Longwell of Clifton Park, NY, three nieces and two nephews; Rebecca and her husband Douglas Brown, Ronald Longwell and his wife Sarah, Rachel and her husband Peter Wersted, Sarah Longwell and Zachary Longwell. Her family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic. Her funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, February 7th at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in South Chaplin Cemetery.
