Willet, Donald W. Donald W. Willet, 80, of Windham, died Monday May 26, 2003. He was born October 23, 1922 in Willimantic, the son of Floyd and Jennie (Cortis) Willet. Donald graduated from Windham High School in 1941 and was in the Army Air Corps during WW II. In 1957 he took over his father's plumbing business and ran "Donald W. Willet Plumbing & Heating" with his wife Juliet until his retirement. Donald was a member of the First Congregational Church in Willimantic, the Willimantic Elks Lodge, American Legion, Windham Fish & Game, Twin XX Club, a Mason, a member of the Shrine and the RAM. He is survived by his wife Juliet Tryon Willet, his two daughters and their spouses, Barbara and Howard Korsu of Columbia and Susan and Robert Gage of Middletown, his grandson Adam Shaw of Columbia, brother and sister-in-law Grandon and Barbara Willet of Windsor Locks, 5 step-grandchildren, Jay, Erica and Karrie Korsu, Christine and Daniel Gage, 3 nephews Rick, Scott and Donald Willet. He was predeceased by his sister Marion Willet.A memorial service will be held Saturday May 31st , 11 AM at the First Congregational Church, 199 Valley St, Willimantic with the Rev. Richard Duvall officiating.There aare no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church, 199 Valley St, Willimantic, CT 06226.
