Donald C. Pennington

Donald C. Pennington, 78, of Willimantic, husband of Jean (Moreau) Pennington, died Thursday September 10, 2009 at Windham Hospital. He was the son of the late John and Rose (Popple) Pennington. Donald was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the UCONN women's basketball team. He also enjoyed reading and anything to do with history of wars. He will miss his favorite dog Chloe. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Wayne Pennington of Remlap, AL and John Pennington of Kennett, MO, a daughter Sandra O'Brien of Keene, NH all from his first wife Louise LaChappelle; two step sons Kenneth Martin and Harold Martin Jr., three stepdaughters Donna McCormick, Nancy Dorville and Karen Rio; five grandchildren, nine step grand children, five great grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by three brothers Harold Pennington, Lloyd Burdick and Earnest Burdick. Arrangements are through Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St, Willimantic. Funeral Services are private.
