Donald F. Godin, 65, of Willimantic, beloved husband of Theresa (LeBlanc) Godin, died Wednesday August 18, 2004 at the Windham Hospital. He was born February 7, 1939 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of John Godin of Ontario and the late Beatrice (Leblanc) Godin. He was the loving father of 3 children, Roland Godin of Ohio, Lisa Godin of Manchester and Brenda Godin of Willimantic and the loving grandfather of Jacob Godin, Alex Godin, Justin Godin and Brittany Caminati. He is also survived by a special aunt, Imelda LeBlanc of Moncton, New Brunswick, 2 sisters, Joan Godin and Laurie Godin of Moncton and a brother, Ronald Godin of Ontario. He was predeceased by a sister Sheryl Godin. Donald came to the United States 42 years ago and had lived in Willimantic for the past 23 years. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Willimantic and a former member of the Knights of Columbus, the French Club and the Elks Club. Prior to his illness he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many sports. He especially loved to swim, boat, dance, bowl and spend quality time with his grandchildren. Donald also enjoyed going to tag sales and woodworking and wood burning. His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with assembly at the church. Cremation will follow. At his request there are no calling hours.
