Donald F. Corriveau, 83, of Storrs, formerly of Hebron, died peacefully with his family near on Tuesday, November15, 2016 at the Mansfield Nursing and?Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved husband of Joyce L. (Eldredge) Corriveau for 63 years. Born on September 6,1933 in Meriden, Connecticut?to the late Estella (Haynes) LeFort and Walter Lefort. He attended school in Meriden. Donald was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War who proudly served aboard the USS Bennington from 1953-1954. After the service he was employed by the Meriden Record Journal and then the former Hartford Times?for 25 years. Prior to his retirement in 1994 he was the proprietor of Corrvy's Package Store in Manchester and relocated to South Windsor and established?Corrvy's Spirit Shoppe. He was an avid Nascar enthusiast and a NY Yankee's Fan. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his family. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Donald F. Corriveau Jr. and wife Marie of Cheshire, son, Michael J. Corriveau of Tolland, son in law, Carl Ducey Jr. of Vernon; sister in law, Geraldine Corriveau of Meriden; grandchildren, Dylan M. Ducey, Cody R. Ducey, Michael Burroughs and wife Gina, Lisa Castaldi and husband?Anthony, Diana Burroughs and wife Kristine; great grandchildren Maranda and Rachel Burroughs, Anthony III and Amanda Castaldi, Xander and Griffin Burroughs, along with numerous nieces, nephews cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his daughter, Gerlyn M. Ducey (Corriveau ); sister, Thelma Smith; brothers, Joseph A. Corriveau, George Lefort and Wayne W. Le Fort Sr. There are no calling hours. Internment with Military Honors?will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 3, 2016 in the State of Connecticut Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane Middletown CT.
