Domenico Pillari Obituary
Domenico Pillari, 91, of Willimantic, died peacefully on Sunday April 5, 2020 at St. Joseph Living Center. He was born in 1928 in Preston, CT. He spent his early years in Italy where he met and married Maria Rosa Mavrici and together they had five children. He returned to the United States in 1965. Domenico was a resident of Willimantic from 1966 till his death. He worked at the University of Connecticut in Landscaping and retired in 1993. He loved working outdoors and enjoyed sharing a glass of homemade wine with friends under his pergola.
Domenico is survived by his five children, Domenica Pillari, Luigi Pillari, Annunziata Pillari-Smith, Carmela Crawford and Francesco Pillari; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
There will be a private burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
