Dolores Yantin Pagan, 63, of Willimantic, died Sunday June 3, 2001 at the Windham Hospital. She was born May 13, 1937 in Puerto Rico and had lived in Willimantic since 1965. She was employed at the former American Thread Co. then owned and operated a catering business and restaurant. She was actively involved in many aspects of the thriving Hispanic community life in Willimantic, including the Puerto Rican Organizational Program Inc. Dolores will always be remembered for her warmth, kindness and the hospitality she gave to others, no matter where they came from or who they were. Her arms reached out to nurture the people she loved through food, laughter, songs and good cheer. She is survived by 6 children, Wilfredo Figueroa Yantin of Puerto Rico, Linette Sanchez of Willimantic, Wanda Sanchez Keienburg of Montclair, NJ, Nora Sanchez of Manhattan, NY, Vivian Sanchez of Hartford, Dennis Sanchez of Storrs, 2 brothers, Carlos Vega of Florida, Andres Vega of Woodbury, a sister, Zaida Vega of Windham,4 grandchildren, Juleo Leon, Natasha Cuevas, Chantel Potvin, Wilfredo Figueroa Jr., an aunt, Pancha Pagan of Willimantic, her dear friend, Pedro Curet of Willimantic, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Pedro Yantin of Willimantic. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic TONIGHT from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. prior to the procession to her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Iglesia Sagrado Corazon, Club Rd, Windham, Burial will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery.
