Dolores “Dolly” VonHusen, 72, of Willimantic, daughter of the late, Wilfred Mercier and Lorraine Mercier Ferguson and stepfather, Kenneth Ferguson, died Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Mapleview Health, in Rocky Hill. She is survived by her adopted son, Matthew VonHusen; a sister, Geraldine Brothers and her husband Albert, of Lebanon; brothers, Wilfred Mercier and his wife Linda, of Florida, Maurice Mercier and his wife Ines, of East Hartford, and Raymond Mercier and his wife Sandi, of North Windham. Dolly also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and many friends and her dog, Su-Ling. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Bernice DeCouto, nephews, Paul and Todd Mercier, niece, Donna Brothers. Dolly’s family will receive relative and friends on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at St. Mary Church, 46 Valley St., Willimantic at 11:00am, burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. Due to Covid, masks are required at calling hours and at the Funeral Mass.
