Obituary

Dick Willard Joseph Bluto, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7th. He lived in Monson, Massachusetts for many years, where he owned a farm, until moving to Coventry, Connecticut in 1987, where he remained. He was predeceased by his father, Austin Joseph Bluto, in 2003; his mother, Clara Bluto, in 2005; his brother, Darwin Bluto, who tragically passed away at age 2 when Dick was 5; and his sister, Debbie Landry. He is survived by his loving sister, Darlene Jodoin. Dick graduated from Coventry High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Diane Jones. Together they raised three children Jeffrey, Keith, and Christine and welcomed many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-grandchild on the way.

Dick spent 28 years with the Southern New England Telephone Company before retiring at 48. He continued to work, running his own home improvement business for many years. Known for his warmth and generosity, he was a beloved figure in the Coventry and Willimantic communities, often gathering for morning coffee and conversation with friends. In his free time, Dick enjoyed fishing, computer games, car shows, and fairs.

He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
