Diana E. (Podmore) Perry

Diana E. Perry (Podmore) passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 79. A native of Scotland, Connecticut, she was born in Willimantic on Independence Day, July 4, 1939. She attended Windham High School class of 1957. Married to Russell R. Perry (Russ) for 60 years; an adored wife, beloved mother, loving sister, aunt and a dear friend of many. She was a very caring and loving individual. She thrived when there was harmony in her surroundings and handled any bump in the road. Steadfast and strong willed. We will miss her dearly. Diana retired from the University of Connecticut as an Accountant. She served as a corporate member of Perry Motors Inc. She was the head honcho in charge of billing, taxation, licensing, payroll and all business and personal financial matters. She and Russ participated together in the Yankee Yesteryear Car Club (YYCC), the Four Seasons Model T Association and the Nutmeg Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society ?ooga?. There are no calling hours. Private services and burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Ovarian Cancer Foundation or Hartford Health at Home Hospice Care ?in the memory of Diana E. Perry? is well appreciated.
