Dennis P. "Murph" Murphy 12/9/1960 - 12/9/2013 "The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively" - BM Dennis P. Murphy, 53, of Willimantic, CT passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 on his birthday at Windham Hospital from a massive heart attack. He was predeceased by his mother Viola Murphy and father James Murphy Sr. He is survived by his daughter Jessica Murphy and his soul mate Linda Murphy, as well as his sisters Chris Murphy, Patricia Murphy, Kathy Murphy and brother James Murphy Jr. He also leaves behind his closest, dearest friends and family, Bobby Nye, Ryan Roy, Alicia Roy, and Mike Parlor. Dennis had a large community of family and friends including his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who all adored and loved him. His Aunt Nita described him perfectly... "A man who was always dependable, reliable, right there for you if you needed him, with that deep and a bit scratchy voice saying: It'll be alright. His smile and laugh outmatched only by his love that ran deep, oh so very deep." There will be a CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR DENNIS, January 11TH 2014, between 4:00PM and 10:00PM at the Willimantic Elks Lodge (lower level), 198 Pleasant Street, Willimantic, CT 06226.
