Denise J. (Deloge) Chamberlain, 80, of Willimantic, passed away October 7, 2014, at Windham Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Peter J. Chamberlain. Denise was born in Plainfield December 12, 1933. A lifelong resident of the Willimantic area, Denise worked in the Grandmother Program at Sweeney School for a number of years and enjoyed her time working with the children. Denise enjoyed spending time with her friends and family playing cards, bowling or going to Bingo, and was an avid reader. She was also a devoted Catholic and a member of the St Mary's Church Choir. She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Codding and her husband Roger Codding of Gales Ferry, Louise Werner and her husband John Werner of Windham, sons, Michael Chamberlain and wife Karen Chamberlain of Lewisbury, TN, George Chamberlain of Coventry, Peter Chamberlain of Willimantic, John Chamberlain and wife Candace Chamberlain of Coventry; sisters, Lillian Connolly and Paulette Wlaszkiewicz, ten grandchildren (Christine, Karl, Jason, Ellen, Katelyn, Nathan, Lynda, Kimberly, Courtney, Joseph), three great grandchildren (Matthew, Noah, Haileigh) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Denise's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday October 9, 2014 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street (Rte. 195) Willimantic, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Church, Willimantic.
