Denis J. Ouimette, 49, of Willimantic, died on Tuesday June 8, 2004 at the Windham Hospital after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was born July 12, 1954 in North Adams, MA. the son of the late Gerard and Rose (Arnold) Ouimette. Denis was a graduate of Windham High School and had been employed by Brand-Rex. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Chaplin and the Knights of Columbus in Windham. Denis loved to talk, play cards and was an avid Red Sox fan. He leaves behind his 3 children, Shane Ouimette serving in the U.S.M.C. in Japan and his wife Cera, Chad Ouimette and Sherri Ouimette both of Seattle, WA., a sister Jeanine Billington and her husband Kenneth of Willimantic with whom he resided for the past 8 months. He is also survived by his niece and nephew Amy and Justin Billington, a special cousin Darlene Dupuis of Chaplin and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Quimette. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Monday at 10:15am prior to his 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church , Valley St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
