Denis G. Bouchard Jr

Denis George Bouchard Jr. "Den Den", 51, of Willimantic, CT, passed away Sunday March 4, 2012 at home with his family by his side after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Torrington, CT on December 21, 1960, son of the late Joan Jeffrey of Windham, CT and survived by his father, Denis Bouchard Sr. of Canada. He was a graduate of Rockville High School. He worked at American Thread until they closed and continued his career at Standard Register as a press operator for 19 years. He was an avid fisherman who truly had a passion for friends, family and spending time outdoors. He was a huge Red Sox, Patriots and Celtic fan. He is survived by his son Denis Bouchard III, Chris Mikel and Amber and Ashley Metcalf. He is also survived by siblings Daniel and Michael Bouchard, Karen Villa, Tina Haddad and was predeceased by a sister Melissa Rieder. Denis also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, former wife Wanda (Davis) Bouchard, and his children's mother, Tammy Metcalf, and many close friends. He was very loved and we will truly miss his amazing sense of humor and wise remarks. He was a great brother, father and friend to all that knew him. His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday March 7th between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:00am in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham.
