Deborah McIntosh Obituary
Deborah Lynn McIntosh, age 60, died on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Deborah was born on November 7, 1960 and raised in Ashford. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2000. For more than 39 years she was employed at the University of Connecticut, most recently as a financial manager in the Biology division of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, retiring in 2017.
Deborah is survived by Frank, her beloved husband of forty years, and her cherished sons, Nicholas of Vernon, and Patrick with his wife Yayu of Ashford. She is also survived by her mother Noreen of Willington, sisters Kathy of Dayville and Joan of Union with her husband Joseph, as well as nieces Kaitlyn and Jennifer. Deborah and Frank enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod as well as European travel, with trips via the Diocese of Norwich, visiting Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Ireland, Mexico, Israel and Greece. Deborah will be remembered for her kind heart and generous spirit. She never hesitated to offer a helping hand. Deb enjoyed a good laugh and the company of friends and most importantly, her family.
Deborah’s family welcomes family and friends to gather from 9:30am to 10:00am on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Willington Hill Cemetery, Rte. 74 in Willington with a graveside services beginning at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Deborah Lynn McIntosh to the Deborah Lynn McIntosh Memorial Scholarship in Biology (include in memo) at the University of Connecticut Foundation, Inc.
