Dawn Marie Lacis

Dawn Lacis, 37, of Willimantic, wife of William Lacis, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Sloane Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She was born in Willimantic, the daughter of Gunars Lacis and Tammy Theriaque. Dawn enjoyed spending time with her friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jaidyn Lacis; a brother, Randy Lacis, and his wife Kay; in addition to her father, she is survived by his partner Marianne Burke; grandparents Richard and Gladys Theriaque; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; a nephew Urban, and two nieces Cybelle and Scarlett; and two lifelong friends, Amy LaChappelle and Amara Haines-Moe. She was predeceased by her grandparents Karlis and Meta Lacis. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Hope Lodge, 132w 32nd St., New York, NY. 10001. Dawn?s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00am. Burial to follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery.
