David Clark Stearns July 16, 1950-February 4, 2014 We are deeply saddened with the news of the passing of our husband, father brother, grandad and uncle David Clark Stearns. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family members on the evening of February 4, 2014 at the age of 63. His abounding love for his family and love of life will never be forgotten. David loved to travel, dance and meet new people. His motto was, "work hard and play harder" and he did just that. He was devoted to his family, a loyal friend and a hard worker who dedicated his life to the family business. David was born in Windham, CT on July 16, 1950 to Billie and Willard C. Stearns and resided in Mansfield, CT on Stearns Road his entire life. He Attended E.O. Smith High School. David was an owner of Mountain Dairy and Vice President of sales and fleet operations where he worked for his entire life. He was a proud member of the Willimantic Rotary Club where he was a part of many committees, a 2 time recipient of the Paul Harris Award and donated his time to charity work. He is survived by his wife, Louise, his children; David Kyle, Erin and Haley from his first marriage. Grandchildren; Siara, Soraya, Willard, London, Brooklyn and Dallas. He is also survived by his brother Jim Stearns and sisters, Ellen Charney and Barbara Leary, several nieces and nephews, son in laws Lydelle and Jerry, and his step children, Danielle and Derrick Hebert. We will forever hold our memories of him close to our hearts. Calling hours will be held at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Saturday, February 8th from 3pm-6pm. Memorial services will be held at the First Church of Christ Congregational, 549 Storrs Rd. jct. Rte. 195 & Rte. 89, Mansfield Center on Sunday, February 9th at 1:30pm.
