David Lee Ridzon, 50 of Willington, CT passed away late Thursday morning of March 19 , 2015 He was a beloved husband, father, papa, son, brother, uncle and friend. Dave grew up in the town of Tolland where he lived with his mother Lorraine Ridzon, Father Paul William Ridzon Sr.; he has two brothers Paul and Steven. He attended high school at Rockville-Vo Ag. At age 23 he meet his soul mate Kim Elizabeth Kearns they we married September 20, 1991 at The First Congregational Church in Tolland CT. In September of 1993 they were blessed with their first daughter Morgan Elizabeth Ridzon (now21) and their second Daughter Samantha Lynn Ridzon was born June 9, 1995 (now 19). David also known as "Uncle Dave" was always there to support his nieces and nephews. Jimmy, Becky, Shaina, Chelsea, Alex, Jeffery, Bruce, Courtney, Erika, and Monica. Although he did not have the chance to have any grandchildren of his own he considered Alexis Murtha his own and loved her great amounts. David worked 15 years at Rex Lumber in South Windsor CT side by side with his brother Steven Ridzon. After 15 years at Rex Lumber Co. he transferred to the town of Tolland public works ... "his Small Home Town". He enjoyed his work and his crewmates. David was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed just being out side. He enjoyed his family and friends the most. Coaching softball was a large part of his life. Many life long friendships and bonds were made on the field and may have picked up another daughter or two along the way. If not at a softball game he was at horse show standing at in gate or out gate. If anyone has any memory of David, It will probably have you laughing in one way or another. He was full of laughter, kindness, honesty and just pure love. The family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 5-8:00PM. A funeral procession will depart Potter Funeral Home at 9:00AM on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 for a memorial service to be held at the United Congregational Church in Tolland CT, at 10:00AM.
