David Faford Obituary
David "Dave" Faford, aged 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 4, 2025, in Southbridge, MA, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on August 24, 1953, in Windham, CT, Dave was a spirited soul who brought laughter and wisdom into the lives of all who knew him.

Dave grew up in the warmth of a large family, cherished by his grandparents, Armand and Marie Rose Faford, and nurtured by his devoted mother, Theresa Faford Lemaire. He shared an unbreakable bond with his siblings William, Michael, Jo-ann, Robert, Ronald, and Jeanne. Dave's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he took great pride in the rich tapestry of memories they created together.

A proud graduate of Windham Technical School and Killingly High School, Dave's education laid the foundation for his career as a Transportation Technician. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his dedication to his country, as he honorably served in the United States Navy. The discipline and respect he learned in the armed forces carried through to every aspect of his life.

Dave's passions were as bold and dynamic as his personality. He was often seen riding his Harley Davidson, the wind in his hair and a twinkle in his eye, embodying the freedom he so cherished. His musical talent shone as he played the guitar, creating melodies that echoed the rhythm of his heart. In the world of racing, Dave found excitement and camaraderie, whether racing RC cars or watching NASCAR; he was always in the midst of the action, cheering on his favorites.

Those who knew Dave will remember him as a man of courage and humor, a beacon of wisdom in challenging times. His ability to find the silver lining and craft a joke when least expected made him a beloved figure in his community.

Dave's story is one of unwavering courage, joyous laughter, and sage advice, a narrative that will be retold and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and humor that will continue to inspire and comfort his family, friends, and all who were touched by his remarkable life.

As we say goodbye to Dave, we celebrate the indelible mark he has left on our hearts and the world. His journey on earth may have ended, but his spirit rides on, guiding us with the memories of his laughter, the echo of his guitar, and the wisdom of his words.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. David "Dave" Faford will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

David's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St., Willimantic, with a gathering to follow at the Willimantic Country Club until 6:00pm
