Dr. David Abraham Obituary
Dr. David H. Abraham, 77, of Scotland, CT passed away on April 1, 2023, after a long illness. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Samuel and Alice (Ducat) Abraham and leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years Stephanie (Null), his brothers, Eugene and Leonard Abraham, their wives Toby and Phyllis Abraham, 5 nieces and nephews, and his sister-in-law Jenni Null.

David had a passion for Irish culture. He earned his Ph.D in English and Irish literature, writing his dissertation on playwright Sean O’Casey. He taught for 20 years in the English dept. at UConn in Storrs, CT, with a special fondness for the poetry of Emily Dickinson. Together with Stephanie he owned and founded a real estate company, Landmarks, Antique & Country Properties, specializing in the sale of antique homes. He was a highly respected dog show judge of boxers worldwide, and a devoted breeder/owner of both boxers and cavalier king charles spaniels for decades. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and intellect, his genuine love of teaching, his dry humor, and his gentle kindness to the people and animals in his life.

David’s services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in remembrance may be made to the American Boxer Charitable Foundation ( www.abcfoundation.org ) or the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Charitable Trust ( www.ackcscharitabletrust.org ).
