Daniel Francis Williams

Daniel F. Williams, 67, of Willimantic passed away unexpectedly at his residence. Born September 28, 1949 in Willimantic, son of the late Walter Sr. and Frances (Midura) Williams. In addition to his parents, Danny is predeceased by two brothers, Everett and William, a sister-in-law, Paula, two nieces, Laurie and Tammy and a nephew, Ben Williams. Danny grew up in Mansfield, CT where he attended E.O. Smith High School prior to taking great pride in the various construction projects he worked on throughout his life. Danny will be best remembered as an avid reader and kind neighbor who enjoyed spending his days with longtime friends. Danny is survived by brothers, Walter Jr. (Madeline) and Richard (Kathi) Williams, a sister Eunice (Kenneth) Moffitt, a daughter, Jennifer (Jamil) Williams, three grandsons and many nieces and nephews including his goddaughter, Denise Williams. Calling hours for Danny will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street Willimantic, CT 06226. Burial will take place on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Road in Windham, CT at 10:00 a.m.
