Daniel P. Poulin Sr

WILLIMANTIC- On June 27,2009, Daniel Paul Poulin Sr., our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend was called home to rest in peace. Danny was born to Charlotte and the late Herve Poulin on July 19, 1947 in Thetford Mines, Quebec, Canada. He came to the United States at 16 and stayed because he met the love of his life Maureen Armstrong. Danny and Maureen made a life together and raised their 4 children in WIllimantic. Daniel was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and although he did not go often he held GOD close in his heart. Danny had worked for several years at Shop Rite, Brand-Rex and Phalo. Danny was happiest surrounded by his kids, grand children and friends and when his house was full of people. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and he coached Little League Baseball for years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Maureen, his children, Roberta, Daniel "Skip", Rob, James, Jen and Marti-Ann. He is also survived by the "Poulin Wannabees" Darrell, Tina and Neil. Danny also leaves behind his shinning stars, his grandchildren Tito, Rachal, Nick, Karlee-Ann, Hunter, Cheyenne, Savannah, Noah, Trinity and Luca. All of them carry on his personality and love for life. Danny is also survived by his mother Charlotte Poulin, his 4 bothers and 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews all of Quebec, Canada. His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday July 2nd between 5:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. His Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00am. Cremation will follow.
