Daniel F. Marshall

Daniel F. Marshall, 55, of North Windham, husband of Dorothy (Fraser) Marshall, died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was born November 6, 1951 in Willimantic, the son of Roland and Julia (Kneeland) Marshall of Windham Center and had lived in Windham all his life. He was a former member of the North Windham Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodturning as a hobby. Daniel took a special delight in his grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his children, Tina Vertefeuille and her husband Brian of Willimantic, Susan Bissell and her husband Tom of Danielson, Daniel Marshall and his wife Heather of Willimantic, Bryan Marshall of Willimantic, his stepdaughter, Sarah Moore and her husband David of Coventry, a sister, Eileen Marshall of Willimantic, 2 brothers, Alan Marshall of Windham Center, Paul Marshall and his wife Claudette of Willimantic, 13 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church, 29 Puddin Lane, Mansfield on Monday from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be private in the Windham Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospital Foundation, indicate the funds are for the Hospitality Suite, 114 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105.
