Daniel B. Costello, 73 of Coventry, husband of Eunice (Estus) Costello, died Tuesday Nov. 4, 2008 at Windham Hospital with his family by his side. He was born Aug. 31, 1935 in Willimantic, son of the late John F. Costello Sr. and Wilhelmina (Bower) Costello. He was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Europe during the Korean War. Mr. Costello had been employed by the University of CT for 38 years. He began his employment there as a mason and retired as a construction engineer. He was a co-owner of Costello & Leta Builders. Mr. Costello was baptized in the church his father constructed, St. Joseph Church in Eagleville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Brenda Church and her husband Kevin of N. Windham, a son Daniel J. Costello, two grandchildren, Tyler Church of Hoboken, NJ and Amanda Church of N. Windham; a great granddaughter Priscilla Mateo of N. Windham, several nieces and nephews and his wife's son Mark Murren and his family of Pomfret Ctr. His family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:00am to 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, corner of Rte.275 and Rte. 32 Eagleville. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am and interment with military honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Coventry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Church and will be used for the upkeep and repair of St. Joseph Church in Eagleville. Donations should be made payable to St. Mary Church, P.O. Box 250, Coventry, CT. 06238. Arrangements through Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic.
