Dana P. Mortenson, 60, of Ashford CT passed away at The Hospital of Central Connecticut on Wednesday April 15, 2020. Dana was born on June 15, 1959 in Berlin, New Hampshire. Dana loved the wind in his hair and nothing was better than cruising the mountains on his Harley. He was known for his dirty jokes and loved flirting with the ladies. He had a hug that would melt your worries away. He will be greatly missed. Dana is predeceased by his parents, Bruce and Beverly Mortenson, as well as his nieces Hannah Colella and Shauntel Mortenson. Dana is survived by his fiancé Jennifer Miller of Ashford, his children Lacey Mortenson and Robert Mortenson both of Ashford, his step-daughter Arwen Figueroa of Ashford, his grandson Nathan Jones of Ashford, his sisters Kim Colella of Vernon and Penni LaVallee of Manchester and brother Eric Mortenson of Berlin, NH as well as many nieces and nephews. Dana loved his family with his whole heart and had a very special bond with his grandson. Dana requested to be cremated and a celebration of life will take place in the near future. In lieu of flowers he also asked that donations be made to the American Lung Association.
