Dale Ann Dyer, 71, of Willington, CT died on September 16, 2020. She was born January 14, 1949 in Willimantic, CT, to the late Donald E. and Ruth B. (Williams) Dyer.  Dale graduated from Willington Grammar School and Windham High School. As a young girl, she was a girl scout and received the highest award back then which was the Curve Bar, her mother was the leader for both her Brownie Troop and Girl Scout Troop. Dale was a member of Federated Church of Willington and part of their fellowship, Circle I ladies’ group, choir, on the Board of Deacons, taught the 3-4-year-old Sunday School, helped with Vacation Bible School, and worked many of the church events. She was a square dancer with the Windham Whirlers, enjoyed outdoor nature, being with family, traveling, tag sales, and being part of the Red Hat Society. Dale worked many jobs from Kathy Johns Restaurant, University of Connecticut food service, helper at multiple daycares, Big Y, homemaker and companion, volunteer at Mansfield Nursing Home, and the Salvation Army. Dale is survived by her brother, Sheldon Dyer and his wife Caroline and their four children and grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews; and friends. Dale’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September, 21, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic, CT 06226. Her funeral service will be private.  A  graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 12:15pm Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org), American Lung Association (lung.org), or National Parkinson Foundation ( www.parkinson.org ).
