Craig C. Smith

SMITH, Craig C. Craig C. Smith, 42, of Andover, husband of Mary (Standish) Smith, died Saturday (June 17, 2006) in Dorchester, N.H. from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. He was born Dec. 13, 1963 in Willimantic the son of Michael J. Smith Jr. and Marjorie (Chowanec) Smith of N. Franklin. Craig had been employed the past six years as an electrician for IBEW Local #35. He loved his Harley and enjoyed off road racing and stock car racing. Craig was very proud of his son Michael and his progress in off road racing. In addition to his wife of 18 years, parents and son, he is survived by three brothers, Steven and his wife Patti of Plano, TX., Scott and his wife Kathy and Chris all of N. Franklin; a sister Cynthia Smaha and her husband Chris of Mt. Airy, MD. and numerous nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday between 5-8 p.m. Cremation will follow at Maplewood Crematory. A private service will then take place for the family. In lieu of flowers, Craig's family suggests memorial donations to Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, N.C. 27317.
