Constance Donahue Obituary
Constance Mae (Mazzola) Donahue 91 passed peacefully on December 10, 2020.
Connie was born to Mariano and Ida Mazzola on July 18, 1929. Connie married Daniel Donahue on Sept 24, 1949 and were married for 65 years until Danny’s passing in May of 2015. They raised three boys in Lebanon, CT. Connie was predeceased by her oldest son Jeffery in March of 2018. She is survived by her sons Kevin and Jamie and his wife Darla. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kelly Piro (Andrew) and Timmy Donahue and their mother Kathy Donahue. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Connie was predeceased by her brothers Joseph and George and her sisters Angelina Morin, Jeanette Bridenstine, Geraldine Hackett and Sheila Santa Lucia.
Connie graduated from Windham High School with her dear lifelong friend Charlotte Topliff. Charlotte and Connie’s friendship was special and lasted a lifetime. Connie also leaves behind her close friends Carol Hurley and Jean Cardinal.
After high school Connie married and raised three sons while working full time. Connie spent the majority of her career at Finest Supermarkets a job she took great pride in. Connie loved card games with her sisters and close friends, Crescent Beach and her Italian heritage. Connie enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren Kelly and Timmy whom she loved dearly. Her family brought her great joy.
The family wants to give special thanks to Scot Kauffman and the staff at Colebrook Village who took such good care of Connie the last few months. Jamie and Darla would also like to thank Kathy Caron our special family friend.
Due to Covid there are no calling hours. A mass for Connie will take place at St. Joseph’s Church on Friday December 18, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Please enter at rear of church.
