Conrad "Red" Goodwin

Conrad "Red" Goodwin, 85, of North Windham, husband of Lorraine (Pintal) Butler Goodwin, died Monday, June 18, 2012 in Willimantic. He was born June 27, 1926 in Stafford Springs to Howard F. and Genevieve (Bicknell) Goodwin and grew up inAshford. Red joined the U. S. Army in 1953. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and woodsman. He made his home with his beloved wife, whom he married November 28, 1975 in Putnam, at Stonegate Manor in North Windham.In addition to his wife he is survived by two brothers; Robert and Phillip, both of Woodstock, CT and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, Arthur and Lawrence and six sisters; Alice Hackenschmidt, Beatrice Bebbington, Emily Richards, Ruth Dion, Clara Ellson and his twin Constance Dombrowski. His family will receive relatives and friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
