Concetta (Connie) Seymour, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on November 9, 1930, in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rose DiTullio.
Connie dedicated many years of her professional life as a respected administrative professional at both Eastern Connecticut State College and the University of Connecticut. Her meticulous work and warm demeanor left a lasting impression on her colleagues and the institutions she served.
For 63 years, Connie was married to her beloved husband, Russell Seymour. She was predeceased by her brother, George DiTullio, and her son Martin Seymour.
A woman of quiet strength and gentle spirit, Connie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an accomplished cook, an avid reader of historical fiction, and enjoyed gardening. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family.
Connie is survived by her daughter Kathleen Seymour King, and son-in-law, David King; her grandsons, Daniel King, and Adam King; her sister, Marie Garofalo; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Connie’s name to the Saxton B. Little Free Library, 319 Route 87, Columbia, CT, a cause that reflected her love of reading and community.
