Clone Allen Penrod Sr., 82, of Hanover Rd., Scotland (mailing address Canterbury 06331) passed away Friday Feb. 17, 2006 at his daughter s home in Hampton. He was born Feb. 18, 1923 in West Salem, IL. the son of the late John Allen Penrod and Lela May (Marks) Penrod and stepson of Cecile Hout. He was the beloved husband of Edith (Gladue) Penrod, and devoted father of Clone Penrod Jr. and his wife Janis of Norwich, James Penrod and his wife Judy of Oldsmar, FL., Denise Elisalde of San Diego, CA., Theodore Penrod and his wife Cheryl, Lela Henri and her husband Wayne and Joyce Davis and her husband Earl Davis III all of Hampton; and brother of Rosa Lee Ile of Clay City, IL. He was predeceased by two daughters Donna Coombs and Arlene Logan , a grandson Jim-Jim Logan Jr., and two brothers Albert and Melvin Penrod. He loved and cherished his 8 children, 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Clone served in the U.S. Navy as a boiler maker 3rd class for four years and served on the submarine tender USS Euryale. He retired from Stone Container in Uncasville in 1987 and for the last 18 years enjoyed his retirement spending time with all of his family. He will be sadly missed. There will be no calling hours.
