Clifford "Cliff" J. Deveau, Jr., 87, of Rocky Hill, CT, passed peacefully on April 25, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Born in Windham, CT on June 20, 1936, he was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Cliff served in the United States Navy for four years, showing dedication and commitment to his country. Following his military service, he embarked on a remarkable 40+ year career as a truck driver, starting with Rytman Grain Co. and later continuing with K&L Feed Mill Corp. in Franklin, CT.

An avid runner and member of the Mohegan Striders, Cliff found joy in the camaraderie and competitiveness of the sport. He later developed a passion for bodybuilding and maintained an active lifestyle. A devoted fan of the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Browns, Cliff's love for sports was unwavering. He was also a dedicated follower of Elvis Presley, Reba McEntire, and Tina Turner’s music.

Cliff will be remembered for his kind and generous nature, his sense of humor, athleticism, and his profound love for his family. He is survived by his children Roger, Lisa, and Cliff DeVeau, his brother Edward and wife Lucille DeVeau, his former wife, Doris “Lena” Rodensky, as well as his grandchildren, Jenny Faries and fiancé Brandon Ganoe, Taylor and husband Robert Hinman, and Destiny Bourbeau as well as his great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Brayden, Annabella, and Lily. He is preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Dorelda (Breault) DeVeau, Sr., siblings Norman DeVeau, Francis and Sylvia Conlombe, and his lifelong friend, John “Coach Riz” Risley.

Cliff's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will forever be cherished by those who knew him. May he rest in peace.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic, CT. A burial will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Coventry. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in memory of Cliff Deveau Jr.
