Clement "Tick" Racicot

June 12, 1918 — February 13, 2004

Clement "Tick" Racicot, 85, of Storrs, husband of the late Bertha (Jurkovics) Racicot, died Friday, February 13, 2004 in Windham. He was born June 12, 1918 in Willimantic, the son of Joseph and Matilda (Brindamour) Racicot and lived in Storrs most of his life. He enjoyed playing baseball as a young man and traveled with the Regular Fellas baseball team from Willimantic. Tick was a member of the Conservation Corps before joining the Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement he was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford. He enjoyed watching the UConn Women's basketball team in recent years. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Harry Chesbro of Middletown, a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Joan Racicot of Preston, 4 grandchildren, Jim Chesbro and his wife Rebecca, Tracy Quinn and her husband Matt, Rebecca Racicot, Brian Racicot, many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the procession to his graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in the Storrs Cemetery, North Eagleville Rd., Storrs.
