Clarence Howard Russ, 91, of Windham, husband of Dorraine S. (Lord) Russ, died Thursday October 13, 2005 at the Windham Hospital. He was born July 12, 1914 in Willimantic, the son of Howard J. and Eugenia (Belouin) Russ and had lived in Windham all his life. He was a prominent homebuilder in the Windham area and served as a Scout Master for many years at St. Joseph Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 children, Clarence P. Russ and his wife Christa of Windham, Carolyn J. Bass of Windham, Stanley B. Russ and his wife Paula of North Windham, his grandchildren, Carol Ann and Ken Swanson of Nashua, NH, Connie and Richard Langer of Groton, Christopher and Deborah Russ of Marlborough, MA, Seth B. Russ of Dothan, AL, Stefan B. Russ of Ashford, his great grandchildren, Hannah Langer, Kyle and Christopher Swanson, Nicholas and Timothy Russ, his brother, Stanley E. Russ of Willimantic, several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195; Willimantic on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. there will be a gathering at the funeral home on Monday at 9:15 a.m. prior to the procession to his Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Willimantic.
