Clara Weigert

Clara (Vincent) Weigert, 81, of Columbia, widow of A. Raymond Weigert Jr. , died Monday March 6, 2006 in Windham. She was born Aug. 26, 1924 in Willimantic the daughter of Walter and Catherine (Cymbor) Wegrzyn. Clara enjoyed spending time at her home on Columbia Lake. There she spent time flower gardening and raising her many dogs and cats over the years. Clara was a communicant of St. Columba Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her daughter Cathlean Weigert of Columbia, her sister Lillian Murray of Columbia, and several nieces and nephews including Jon Murray of Columbia and Norman Weigert of Windsor Locks. Clara was predeceased by her son Andrew R. Weigert III. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Thursday between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Friday at 9:45am prior to the procession to her 10:30am Funeral Mass at St. Columba Church, intersection of Rte. 87 and Rte. 66 in Columbia. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Douglas Manor (for residents fund), 103 North Rd., Windham, Ct. 06280.
